“A large audience had assembled in the Centre Céramique at Thursday evening 22 October at 22:00 hrs. They were lucky! They happened to be witnesses of a very intimate and personal concert performed by Roderik Povel and the members of his trio, completed by bass, drums, cello and the violin. (..)”. Friday 23 October 2009
Yesterday evening the Jazz Maastricht Promenade started. We were witnesses of a top quality performance by Mike Roelofs at the Annex at square 1992. An ill drummer made his experimental adventure even more adventurous than expected. Roderik Povel played an intense concert of ‘When the caged bird sings’ in which he brings poetry in an impressive song cycle. A great start of the 19th edition of the Promenade!
